LARAMIE-RAWLINS AND BRANCHES -- SUPPLEMENT

Section 7 of the Agreement dated
September 14, 1972 reads:
"7. Employes who on September 14, 1972 hold seniority as
brakemen on the territory Cheyenne-Laramie or Laramie-Rawlins who are promoted
to conductor on or after September 15, 1972 will be considered prior rights
conductors under the provisions of this agreement."
Rule 90(d)(5) of the Schedule of Rules reads:
"5. Brakemen who fail to take the third trial, or who fail to
receive a passing grade on the third trial will thereafter be accorded another
opportunity to take the air brake rules examination only at the option of the
Superintendent."
Rule 90(g) of the Schedule of Rules reads in part:
"...Brakemen who fail to pass the second examination, and
brakemen who have declined promotion shall thereafter be accorded another
opportunity for promotion only at the option of the Superintendent."
IT IS AGREED:
Prior rights brakemen on the 5th-6th Seniority District who at the option of the Superintendent are accorded another opportunity to take an examination as provided in Rule 90(d)(5) or Rule 90(g) will not be considered prior rights conductors under the provisions of Section 7 of the September 14, 1972 Agreement. They will be placed at the top of the next promotion class and upon passing necessary examinations will be accorded a conductor's date on the consolidated seniority roster.
Should more than one brakeman be accorded the opportunity to take
the same examination prior to a promotion class, they will be placed at the top
of the next class in seniority order.
