Dear Gentlemen:

        This refers to Article IV, (B)(3)(d) and the "note"
thereof of the Modified Crew Consist Agreement effective May 1,
1991.

        The note provides that Local Chairmen would not have
the provisions of paragraph 3(d) apply to them when on a
Guaranteed Extra Board. Discussions were held concerning the
potential of other Union Officers being allowed the same
provision.

        The Carrier expressed concern with the potential for
abuse of the rule, however, it was agreeable to extend the same
benefits to Vice-Local Chairmen, Lodge Presidents,
Secretary-Treasures(sic), and Legislative Representatives with the
understanding that the Carrier could cancel that right upon
thirty (30) days written notice to the General Chairman.
