OVERTIME
Except where exercising seniority rights from one assignment to another, or when extra men are required by schedule rules to be used, all time worked in excess of eight hours continuous service in a 24‑hour period shall be paid for as overtime on a minute basis at one and one-half times the hourly rate. This rule applies only to service paid on an hourly or daily basis, and not service paid on mileage or road basis.
NOTE: Article 3 of Agreement ''A" (Five-Day Work Week) signed at Washington, D. C. May 25, 1951 Is appended hereto as Appendix No.8. Where any conflict exists between the rules of this agreement and Agreement "A", the provisions of Agreement "A" shall take precedence.
