ENGINES
(a) Units assigned to yard service shall be equipped with headlights and footboards and a suitable box in which clothing and lunch boxes may be placed. A road unit temporarily assigned to yard service shall be so equipped at the first opportunity if such unit is to be continued in yard service more than twenty‑four hours.
(b) The use of unequipped units shall not be prolonged by the substitution of one unit for another.
